GAPFA HOLDS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, 2015

The 2015 Annual General Meeting of the Greater Accra Poultry Farmers Association was held on August 13^th , 2016 at the Association’s Premises, Sakaman, Accra. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Association,  Mr. A.  Y. Baidoo. In all, some one hundred and thirty ( 130 ) members of the Association attended.

The performance of the Association for year 2015 was reviewed. During the year, the Association sold 494,556 bags of feed, out of which 376,939 bags ( 76.22%) were of the layer mash. The Association recorded a turnover of GHC34,727,452.00, showing an increase of 30.35% over the previous year’s figure of GHC26,614,613.00. Net profit after-tax was GHC392,812.00 exceeding the 2014 profit by some GHC265,269.00 ( 207.98%).

Members expressed satisfaction with the results posted for the year and congratulated the Executive Council for their education.

Two new members, namely Messrs. D. M. Nartey and E. B. Thompson were elected to serve on the Council.
